ABOUT
Poughkeepsie Open Studios is an annual free and self-guided event designed to celebrate local artists and arts in Poughkeepsie. Over one weekend, artist studios open their doors to the public and multiple art spaces host art shows and exhibitions. Expect to see: painting, photography, digital art, film, sculpture, printmaking, illustration, murals, public art, and more! Expect to meet: amazing local artists, creators, makers, curators, community members, and fellow art lovers! Participating artists/galleries can sell their artwork at no commission. We encourage attendees to buy local art and support local businesses. This event is free for all to attend.
We hope to see you in Poughkeepsie this fall and each season after that!
Poughkeepsie rests on the unceded lands of the Munsee-Mohican Lenape and on lands which benefit from the labor of enslaved Africans and their descendants. Learn more here: native-land.ca/ and celebratingtheafricanspirit.org
Though one weekend is not enough to share the vibrant arts communities in Poughkeepsie. We hope the First Edition of the Poughkeepsie Arts Guide will inspire you to learn more about the arts and artists of our city. Learn more about the guidebook here. Pick up a copy at participating locations in Poughkeepsie and art spaces in the Hudson Valley this September.
